Our year together has come to an end. I’ve loved every minute of it! Thank you to Karlee, Melita and Mrs Cullen who came in and worked with the children throughout the year. Thank you for a wonderful celebration day families and students. Thank Kate for organising a lovely cake. I’m going to miss Queens Beach SS but I’m sure Merinda SS will be just fun too! This blog will be here for a little while so that students can have access over the holidays. Kind regards, Miss Richards

Term 4 is Flying Past!
Happy Sunny Weekend Families! This term (as predicted in my previous post) has been very busy! We jam-packed our last 7 weeks with exploring movement, writing letters and reading, reading, reading! Plus Math too! And wow! Haven’t all of your children bloomed! I am so very proud of every student’s progress and improvement this Term. Don’t forget to send in a white t-shirt next week for our performance costume! With end of year fast approaching please make the time to come in and see me to talk about your child’s individual progress and what they can do over the holidays to be prepared for Year 1.
Enjoy the breeze and sunshine today, Miss Richards
Term 4 is Nearly Here!
Hi Families,
Term 4 is fast approaching. This term we will be very busy with our learning. We will be exploring celebrations that are special to our families and also learning about special places and recognising places that are special to each of us. In English we will continue to practise our retelling but also begin letter writing. In Maths we will continue practising and refining our skills but we will also learn further about addition and telling the time, so now is a good time to find a cheap watch for your Prep student if you can. In Science we are exploring forces and motion. This is all jam packed into our first six weeks! A cute idea to help your child with letter writing at home is to set up a home post office. The below blog has a great idea (although aimed at toddlers, it would be great for your Prep as they are well on the way to writing independently). Please remember to make a time to meet with me or let me know a time to call to discuss your child’s mid-semester progress in the first few weeks. See you soon!
