100 Days of School

Families,

What a wonderful, busy day we had! We discovered that we could count in tens to one hundred and in ones. We counted out one hundred fruit loops and made crowns with one hundred stickers. We made pictures of us being 100 years old and wrote our name as many times as we could in 100 seconds.

A busy day and we are very tired after 100 days of school. Have a big sleep tonight Prep R Rockstars! Thank you for bringing your collections of 100, they are super! See you on day 101!image image image

Parent / Grandparent Helpers

Hi Families,

I really appreciate any support you can offer your student and their classmates.  I am asking for parents and grandparents to volunteer some time to assist us in the classroom.  A note will be sent home very soon asking you to fill in what you are able to do and when.

Much appreciated,

Miss Richards

Rhyme Time

Families,

We are rhyming mad this Term!  Some online games that should work on smartphones, tablets/ipads and computers are below.  Click on a link below for a rhyming game.  Why is rhyme so important?  It is a basic foundation skill for spelling and reading!

Computer Lab is So Fab!

Hi Everyone,

Every Tuesday we have our Computer Lab Session.  This term our goal is to be able to log on to the computer independently.  Below are a few websites that have games which teach you how to type.  (Adults can play too!!).  Just click on a link to play the games.

Term Three – We have grown so much!

Hi Families,

What a wonderful day being back with Prep R! Almost everyone is back from holidays and all were happy to be at school, which if you recall is my first goal (your child loves school!). I found these great little tips for parents on Pinterest. They are from a teacher called Jodi Southard and she shared the colourful posters for free on her blog.  http://fun-in-first.blogspot.com.au/2013/07/tips-for-parentshow-to-help-my-child.html
